Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Finance and Controlling Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis (38 hours per week) at our Hamburg office. The position is a permanent contract starting immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure, develop, and optimize financial, accounting, and controlling procedures while adhering to compliance requirements and internal controls, preferably leveraging automation and AI integration.
- Independently prepare and coordinate annual financial statements and assist with audits.
- Serve as primary contact for auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the tax office on year-end closings, tax matters, and operational audits.
- Create and enhance reporting tools, financial analyses, KPIs, and decision-making materials for executive management.
- Manage budget planning, forecasting, and ongoing budget monitoring.
- Support strategic planning and decision-making for management.
- Oversee liquidity management, including preparation, consolidation, and analysis of cash flow and liquidity forecasts.
- Coordinate and communicate with international subsidiaries, especially those in Panama.
- Improve and advance the Power BI environment to enhance data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at digitalization and process optimization within finance.
- Take on additional operational and conceptual responsibilities in finance and accounting.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally with exposure to bookkeeping and/or auditing.
- Experience with annual financial statements, controlling, reporting, budgeting, and liquidity planning.
- Proficient with standard digital tools such as Office365 and ERP systems; familiarity with Power BI is advantageous.
- Analytical mindset, structured and independent work style, with enthusiasm for digitalization and automation.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with both internal and external partners.
- Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
- Team-oriented, open-minded, and motivated by impactful work.
- Residence in or near Hamburg.
