About the Role
This part-time position, working three days a week with negotiable scheduling, supports the Finance Department by preparing, recording financial information, and assisting with internal audit tasks. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the assistant collaborates closely with the Director of Finance and the Finance Manager to ensure effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and compile income data for reporting purposes to management.
- Collect wage and Café Bar data for management reporting.
- Conduct internal audit procedures, including spot checks, to confirm proper internal control operations.
- Process quarterly copyright returns.
- Monitor spending in critical expense categories.
- Organize and file all necessary financial documentation accurately.
- Maintain updated fixed asset and equipment registers.
- Reconcile sales and cash lodgement records.
- Provide backup support for financial officer tasks such as payroll, supplier payments, cash lodgements, and sales invoice creation.
- Perform any additional finance or administrative duties as required.
