We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter possessing active FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) certification and VA SAR/LAPP authority. Primary Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review and assess residential mortgage loan files to determine underwriting eligibility.
- Make prompt and informed underwriting decisions adhering strictly to agency and investor guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure a streamlined and efficient loan processing workflow.
- Uphold rigorous standards related to analytical accuracy, quality assurance, and superior customer service.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in residential mortgage underwriting, with in-depth knowledge of FHA and VA loan programs. Strong organizational skills and sound judgment in lending decisions are essential, along with effective communication abilities. Active FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) certification and VA SAR/LAPP authorization are mandatory prerequisites.
