Overview
This role focuses on analyzing, maintaining, and enhancing financial systems to effectively support business activities. The incumbent will work closely with multiple departments to apply system upgrades and integrations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data throughout the systems. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive system documentation, conducting user training, and delivering technical support to the finance team.
In addition, the role involves creating and automating financial reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI. The Executive Manager will participate actively in process re-engineering and digital transformation projects, leading initiatives aimed at continuous system improvement to boost usability and the precision of reporting.
Monitoring system performance and resolving any inefficiencies promptly is an essential part of the position. The role also encourages collaboration through knowledge exchange, exploring innovative automation and integration tools, rapid prototyping, and iterative refinement based on stakeholder feedback. Learning from IT, finance, and data departments to expand insight is strongly emphasized.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, maintain, and enhance financial systems supporting business operations.
- Coordinate across departments to implement system upgrades and integration projects.
- Assure data integrity and accuracy across all financial systems.
- Develop and update detailed system documentation and user guides.
- Provide training and offer technical support services to the finance team.
- Create and automate financial reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Participate in subprocess re-engineering and digital transformation efforts.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system usability and reporting accuracy.
- Monitor system performance and address bottlenecks proactively.
- Engage in knowledge sharing, peer learning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experiment with new tools and platforms to enhance automation, reporting, and integration.
- Prototype and iterate solutions, gathering feedback to refine ideas quickly.
- Learn from IT, finance, and data teams to broaden perspectives.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA degree from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems such as BPC or TM1.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, particularly SAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, VBA, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Project management capabilities are advantageous.
- Experience applying Agile or hybrid project management methodologies for incremental delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Technical expertise in financial systems architecture, data flow, and financial planning processes.
- Analytical mindset capable of interpreting complex data.
- Adaptability to dynamic work environments and evolving technologies.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring high accuracy in data management and reporting.
