About Shangri-La Jeddah
Located on the picturesque Jeddah Waterfront by the Red Sea, Shangri-La Jeddah offers a luxurious hospitality experience with elegant interiors inspired by the sea and beach. The hotel features 203 elegant rooms and suites, 17 luxury serviced apartments, and 116 privately owned Burj Assila Residences. Guests can enjoy four restaurants and lounges including the renowned Shang Palace, along with dedicated family facilities such as a Kids Club and supervised play area.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary direction of Shangri-La Jeddah. Reporting to the General Manager, the chef will manage all food operations across six outlets, including two specialty restaurants, banquet services, and in-room dining. The role demands excellence in guest satisfaction, operational management, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive culinary innovation while ensuring consistent quality across all dining locations.
- Mentor and develop a skilled culinary team, fostering teamwork and high standards.
- Design creative menus and seasonal specials aligned with the brand’s luxury positioning.
- Manage large-scale banquet operations with attention to detail and refinement.
- Optimize food costs and operational efficiency without compromising quality.
- Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and sustainability standards.
- Engage with guests to tailor and enhance their dining experiences.
Candidate Profile
- At least 10 years of international luxury hospitality experience.
- Proven background as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader.
- Strong financial and operational management capabilities.
- Experienced mentor and team leader.
- Creative, culturally aware, and passionate about guest interaction.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
