Role Overview
Our client is searching for a skilled Estimator to join their expanding team following the departure of a previous Estimator. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with around 2-3 years of estimating experience who are eager to advance their career within a stable construction company.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise and competitive cost estimates for projects.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and project documents thoroughly.
- Source and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Perform quantity take-offs and conduct detailed cost analyses.
- Detect potential project risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.
- Support the preparation and submission of tender documents.
- Maintain detailed estimation records and cost data.
Candidate Profile
We seek a commercially savvy and detail-focused Estimator eager to grow professionally in construction estimating. Desired qualifications include:
- 2-3 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, costs, and techniques.
- Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience in preparing estimates and reviewing supplier/subcontractor quotes.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial insight.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating with a team.
- Experience with FRP (Formwork, Reinforcement & Precast) is highly valued.
