About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead a landmark, multi-year ERP implementation within a global retail organisation. This ambitious programme, valued at over £100 million, involves deploying a SaaS Tier-1 ERP platform affecting more than 10,000 users across multiple sites worldwide. This opportunity suits professionals with backgrounds in Retail, Logistics, Supply Chain, or organisations with physical stores and distribution centres. Candidates from Financial Services or Public Sector are less suitable.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete delivery lifecycle of enterprise ERP projects and critical technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain detailed integrated project plans, defining milestones and delivery roadmaps.
- Coordinate diverse teams including Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, Testers, Change Management, and Support functions.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, dependencies, risk, issues, assumptions, and governance processes.
- Engage stakeholders from business leadership to technology teams and third-party vendors to ensure alignment.
- Facilitate governance forums, reporting, and support effective decision-making throughout the programme.
- Drive organisational change efforts to guarantee smooth adoption of new systems across the business.
- Deliver all projects on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record managing large-scale ERP implementations or significant enterprise technology programmes.
- Experience with complex business and IT transformation initiatives involving multiple workstreams.
- Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Understanding of financial, supply chain, manufacturing, or order-to-cash processes.
- Competence in RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA or equivalents for work tracking and delivery coordination.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills with a consultative management approach.
