Equipment Operator (Pushback)

Role overview

The Equipment Operator (Pushback) supports safe and efficient ramp operations by handling ground support equipment and contributing to aircraft turnaround activities at the airport.

Key duties

• Use the ground service equipment you are trained and authorized to operate, following instructions from the relevant team.
• Inspect cargo holds and nearby areas for any irregularities, including missing or damaged components and any unidentified items.
• Before and during use, confirm that ground support equipment is in proper working order by completing basic checks and following all standard operating procedures.
• Follow all applicable UAE laws, plus Velora Aviation and customer airline policies and procedures related to safety, security, quality, operations, and special cargo or products.
• Operate in a safe manner at all times, and report safety, security, service issues, errors, hazards, and near-miss incidents through the approved reporting process.
• Follow all operational procedures consistently, including requirements related to handheld devices.
• Support baggage and cargo loading and unloading activities.
• Use headsets to coordinate with flight crews and ground teams during pushback operations, tow aircraft and equipment, and carry out pushback procedures.

Education and experience

• A valid UAE driving licence is required.
• At least 1 year of experience working as an Equipment Operator is needed.
