Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Coordinator to join our HSEC team at Glencore Canada, based in Toronto. In this position, you will contribute to advancing sustainable practices, minimizing environmental impacts, and safeguarding people and communities. You will collaborate with operations across North American Legacy Assets to implement health, safety, environment, and community (HSEC) initiatives, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to relevant environmental legislation, permits, licenses, and Glencore's HSEC policies and standards.
  • Support environmental audits and risk assessments within Legacy Assets.
  • Plan and deliver environmental training and assess training needs for site teams.
  • Assist in environmental sampling programs covering water quality, soil, and waste management.
  • Maintain environmental monitoring databases and prepare detailed technical reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of environmental compliance documentation.

  • Support management of environmental reclamation and biodiversity initiatives.
