Entry Level Payroll Clerk

About the Role

Outsource is the nation's leading staffing firm specializing in low voltage and electrical talent placement. We are seeking an individual eager to start and develop their career in payroll and staffing. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in payroll processing, customer service, and working alongside recruiting and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for external candidates accurately.
• Support the Recruiting team by collecting timecards.
• Obtain timecard approvals from current clients.
• Enter data from paper timecards into payroll software.
• Help candidates submit their time through the online portal.
• Identify and resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
• Prepare and dispatch client invoices every week.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure invoice accuracy.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls from clients and internal staff.
• Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies such as short payments.
• Provide support to payroll and accounting departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite; Excel experience is advantageous.
• At least 6 months background in office environments or customer service roles.
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• A proactive attitude demonstrating a sense of urgency and willingness to learn.

Additional Information
