English Language Expert

About the Role

This position involves a contract role working remotely, contributing to the evaluation and improvement of AI-generated English language responses. Your work will include reviewing content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to prompts; detecting logical, methodological, or conceptual errors; fact-checking; creating high-quality explanations and revisions; and assessing multiple AI outputs for quality and correctness. As part of SME Careers, a fast-growing subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, your language expertise will directly enhance leading AI models' output accuracy and naturalness.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive AI training prompts and responses spanning diverse topics to guide AI understanding.
• Evaluate and rank AI-generated outputs to improve model accuracy, fluency, and context relevance.
• Identify inaccuracies or biases in AI performances, validating reliability across various applications.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or closely related areas.
• Expert-level English proficiency (minimum C1 required, ideally C2 or native proficiency), with professional proficiency in at least one additional language strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise in grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and style editing across registers.
• Exceptional attention to detail capable of detecting subtle errors, ambiguities, and inconsistencies, with excellent ability to communicate corrections clearly in writing.
• Experience applying style guides to maintain consistent tone, terminology, punctuation, and capitalization throughout diverse content.
• Proven reliability, self-motivation, and ability to consistently deliver high-quality work remotely on an hourly contract basis across multiple time zones.
• Strong preference for candidates with prior experience in AI data training or annotation, editorial quality assurance, localization quality assurance, or professional copyediting.
• Familiarity and practical experience using AI tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, and ChatGPT.
