Engineer - Production

Job Overview

The Production Engineer specialized in Joinery is responsible for overseeing and enhancing joinery manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, on-budget production that aligns with approved designs and quality benchmarks. This role involves guaranteeing that projects are delivered on schedule, manpower is optimized, and production workflows continually improve.

Key Responsibilities

• Devise and monitor daily and weekly production schedules to meet established delivery timelines.
• Coordinate manpower and machinery allocation to fulfill production targets as set by project requirements.
• Review shop drawings and cutting lists prior to commencing production activities.
• Liaise with design and project teams for clarifications and ensure products comply with project specifications.
• Oversee all joinery production processes including cutting, assembly, veneering, polishing, and finishing steps.
• Supervise operations of CNC machines, panel saws, edge banding equipment, and other hardware to optimize production efficiency and workflow.
• Ensure all finished products satisfy defined quality standards through inspections at various production phases.
• Work to minimize product defects, reworks, and customer complaints.
• Track material consumption such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, and hardware to reduce wastage and enhance cutting plans.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure consistent availability of materials.
• Manage production costs effectively by reducing avoidable expenses and improving productivity for cost efficiency.
• Implement and monitor strict health and safety procedures within the factory environment.
• Conduct routine safety checks and toolbox meetings to maintain compliance with organizational policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Between 5 to 10 years of practical experience in joinery production, ideally with exposure to UAE or GCC projects.
