Role Overview

The AI Infrastructure Practice at WWT specializes in designing, deploying, and managing foundational AI infrastructure such as GPU compute clusters, high-performance networking, storage systems, power and cooling infrastructures, and integration platforms. Recognized eleven times as NVIDIA Partner of the Year for AI and Deep Learning, WWT holds significant expertise in enterprise-scale AI infrastructure.

Position Summary

As an End-to-End AI Infrastructure Architect, you will integrate various infrastructure layers—compute, networking, storage, facilities, platform, and security—into a cohesive system supporting large-scale AI workloads involving thousands of GPUs. You will serve as the designated Design Authority on the most complex AI infrastructure projects, responsible for maintaining architectural integrity and system coherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Unify compute, networking, storage, facilities, and platform components into comprehensive AI infrastructure architectures.
• Act as the named Design Authority overseeing architectural consistency across significant AI infrastructure programs.
• Translate AI infrastructure designs into client business outcomes such as cost efficiency per training run, inference latency, and resource utilization.
• Assess and recommend vendor-neutral hardware and software solutions across GPU compute (NVIDIA, AMD), networking, storage, and platform vendors.
• Create reference architectures for typical AI infrastructure patterns including training clusters, inference farms, and hybrid systems.
• Facilitate cross-domain collaboration among specialists to resolve design conflicts.
• Perform architectural reviews and risk assessments at critical project milestones.
• Communicate design rationales and trade-offs effectively to executive-level client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 15 years experience in infrastructure and solution architecture covering compute, networking, and storage domains.
• 3 to 5 years or more experience in designing AI/ML or high-performance computing infrastructure platforms at enterprise scale.
• Proficiency with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SABSA.
• Ability to provide vendor-neutral evaluations of GPU compute, networking, storage, and platform options.
• Experience serving as a client-facing design authority on major infrastructure programs.
• Strong systems-level thinking to understand inter-component impacts on overall system performance.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with NVIDIA DGX/HGX SuperPOD reference architectures.
• Knowledge of AI platform software including Kubernetes, Slurm, and Base Command Manager.
• Expertise in total cost of ownership modeling for AI infrastructure (including build, colocation, and cloud).
• Experience deploying AI infrastructure in air-gapped or sovereign environments.
