ELV Engineer – CCTV & Communications Installation

About the Role

This position involves installing, configuring, testing, and commissioning ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, intercom, and communication setups. The engineer will also oversee the installation of structured cabling, fibre optic, and networking infrastructure while ensuring alignment with technical drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of CCTV, access control, intercom, and communication systems.
• Supervision of structured cabling, fibre optic, and network infrastructure installation.
• Thorough review of project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the project team.
• Identify and resolve any ELV or communication system issues.
• Carry out system testing, inspections, and commissioning tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with project specs, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
• Prepare as-built drawings, commissioning reports, and necessary maintenance documentation.
• Provide support for preventive and corrective maintenance of ELV systems installed on-site.
• Oversee project progress to guarantee timely completion within budget constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience working with ELV systems, focusing on CCTV and communications installation.
• Proven hands-on experience with CCTV, access control, intercom, structured cabling, fibre optics, and IP-based systems.
• Strong skills in system configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting ELV systems.
• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and ELV schematics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication, coordination abilities, and problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on commercial, industrial, or government ELV projects.
• Holding a valid Qatar Driving Licence is considered beneficial.
