Electrical Technician

Job Overview

This role primarily involves maintaining and troubleshooting automated warehouse systems and electrical components to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle warehouse automation electronics, including PLC modules, HMIs, SCADA systems, UPS devices, camera surveillance, QR code scanners, and WiFi access points.
• Maintain mechanical parts of automation such as robotic picking machinery and support overall warehouse maintenance including breaker systems and electrical cabling.
• Operate and maintain basket-type scissor lifts, and ideally hold a valid working-at-heights certification.
• Regularly inspect robot zones to identify and resolve issues such as debris, fallen totes, or misplaced packages.
• Conduct upkeep and maintenance on computer systems used within the warehouse environment.
• Implement safety protocols like Lock Out Tag Out procedure during maintenance or repair activities.
• Provide prompt support for daily operational issues and respond quickly to breakdowns or maintenance complaints.
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks based on established checklists at assigned locations.
• Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Perform cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and adjustment activities on mechanical parts and machines as required.
• Execute any additional duties assigned by engineers or lead technicians.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational background including Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma qualifications in Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum of two years' relevant experience in electronic maintenance and repairs, specifically on belt, conveyor, and pulley systems.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts covering both day and night to support continuous 24/7 operations.
• Must possess a valid Class 3 driving license.
