Role Overview
The Electrical Power Engineer will provide oversight and support for electrical power systems within a Maintenance and Operation project. This role ensures the dependable functioning, upkeep, and performance of electrical infrastructure, adhering to project-specific criteria, safety protocols, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor maintenance and operational activities for electrical power systems and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, and distribution networks.
- Guarantee that all maintenance complies with project mandates and safety legislation.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults while coordinating necessary corrective actions.
- Review and ensure proper execution of electrical maintenance schedules and plans.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to optimize electrical system operations.
- Document technical details through reports, maintenance logs, and inspection summaries.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during maintenance work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power systems.
- Between five and ten years of professional experience managing electrical power systems in maintenance and operation contexts.
- In-depth understanding of electrical distribution networks, power apparatus, and maintenance methodologies.
- Knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations relevant to the field.
- Proficient in technical reporting, problem-solving, and coordination with diverse teams.
