Overview
Based at Tarbert Generation Station in Kerry, this role offers a permanent full-time position as an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor. The salary ranges between €49400 and €74200 annually, complemented by a performance-related bonus and various benefits supporting financial wellbeing and family needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on various station assets, collaborating with Electrical & Control Maintenance Engineers and the planning team to ensure safety, reliability, and efficient operation.
- Assist in delivering site projects by contributing to all phases including business case development, technical specifications, procurement, implementation, and commissioning aligned with SSE and station goals.
- Manage contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental (SHE), technical, quality, and commercial standards.
- Maintain precise and current maintenance documentation to capture insights, trends, and lessons learned fostering continuous improvement and enhancing asset reliability.
Candidate Profile
- National Craft Certificate in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (NFQ Level 6 or equivalent).
- Significant maintenance experience within power generation or similar industrial sectors.
- Proficient in using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo for planning and tracking maintenance operations.
- Understanding of operational business processes related to power plant maintenance and control.
