About the Company and Role

We are searching for a committed Purchasing Buyer (m/w/d) to independently manage the entire procurement process for our mid-sized manufacturing company. This role combines hands-on purchasing duties with the strategic advancement of our procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring punctual supply of materials needed for production
• Requesting, evaluating, and comparing supplier offers
• Initiating and tracking purchase orders
• Monitoring delivery dates, pricing, and order quantities
• Selecting, assessing, and developing supplier relationships
• Conducting negotiations regarding prices and contract terms
• Managing delivery discrepancies and handling complaints
• Identifying savings opportunities and procurement risks
• Maintaining supplier, product, and pricing databases
• Continuously improving procurement procedures
• Collaborating closely with production, warehouse, quality control, and management teams

Candidate Profile

• Completed commercial or technical vocational training
• Experience in both strategic and operational procurement
• Preferably prior work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Technical knowledge and comprehension of materials management
• Strong negotiation skills, cost awareness, and assertiveness
• Independent, methodical, and dependable work habits
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Fluent in German; English language skills are advantageous
