Role overview
Univar Solutions is hiring an HGV Tramper Driver to join its Transport team in Coventry. This position is suited to someone who enjoys life on the road, takes safety seriously, and can represent the company professionally when dealing with customers at their locations.
The role offers an annual salary of £42,431 and is part of a package that also includes quarterly performance-related bonuses, along with training and career progression opportunities for drivers looking to grow within the business.
What the job involves
You will transport chemicals and ingredients that support everyday products and services, helping ensure deliveries reach customers safely and on time. The work involves driving both Category C and Category C+E vehicles, including 26-tonne and 44-tonne trucks when required.
The company fleet includes DAF CF vehicles and brand-new fully automatic XG trucks, giving drivers access to modern equipment while working on the road.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a professional point of contact for customers at their sites and deliver a consistently high standard of service.
- Carry products safely to customer locations across the Univar Solutions network.
- Follow all applicable safety rules, internal procedures, and legal requirements at all times.
- Capture customer comments, requests, and concerns, then prioritise and pass them to the relevant internal teams when needed.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant is based in the UK, currently lives there, and can provide proof of the right to work in the UK, as any offer depends on satisfactory evidence.
It is preferred that candidates already hold a valid ADR licence and Driver CPC, although the employer is open to training the right person. You should be committed to excellent service, strongly safety-minded, and comfortable using an iPhone and mobile apps as part of the job.
