Role Overview

The Dive Center Divemaster plays a vital operational role, leading dive excursions and assisting with dive training at assigned dive centers. This position ensures safe, professional, and enjoyable underwater activities that meet the high standards of Galaxea, RSSE, and Red Sea Global. It involves supporting dive operations, guest satisfaction, safety adherence, and commercial activities, while exemplifying safety, exceptional service, and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Dive Center Manager and aid in smooth dive center operations.
  • Lead guided dives for certified divers, ensuring safety and engaging guest experiences.
  • Support instructors with PADI-compliant dive courses and assist in training delivery.
  • Help prepare boats, dive equipment, and teaching environments daily to ensure readiness.
  • Perform routine tasks such as cylinder filling, equipment handling, and center maintenance.
  • Contribute to retail and sales efforts as a brand ambassador for Galaxea experiences.
  • Collaborate with sustainability and special economic zone (SEZ) teams to uphold environmental protection standards.
  • Participate remotely and attend office locations as needed based on operational demands.
  • Assist in establishing dive centers pre-opening by supporting setup, coordination, and dive site familiarization.
  • Maintain rigorous safety protocols during all dive activities and keep comprehensive records of dives and training certifications.
  • Build and sustain positive relations with colleagues, guests, management, and external agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety, quality, and environmental management standards.
  • Identify and promote continuous improvement opportunities for operations and systems aligned with global best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current, active PADI Divemaster certification.
  • At least 250 logged dives from various locations worldwide.
  • Strong understanding of PADI courses, standards, and application.
  • Experience working in dive center operations and retail environments.
  • Background in hospitality and guest services.
  • Knowledge of diving health, safety practices, and equipment maintenance.
  • Awareness of marine conservation principles.
  • Valid medical certification confirming fitness to dive.

  • Skilled in delivering detailed pre- and post-dive briefings.
  • Supportive of dive center administration and operational planning.

Desirable Skills

  • Additional language skills, preferably Arabic.
  • Qualification as PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Leader.
  • Current Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor certification.
  • Social media content creation abilities.
  • Experience with underwater photography and videography.
  • Knowledge of marine species identification.
  • Technical expertise in dive equipment maintenance across multiple brands.
  • Valid powerboat license.
