Overview
A partner company is seeking a Director of Website Experience based in Canada. This leadership role involves overseeing the strategy, development, and performance of crucial digital platforms to boost customer interaction and business growth. The position demands collaboration with marketing, product, sales, analytics, and engineering teams to drive improvements in user journeys, conversion optimization, and technical website standards within a global and remote-first workplace focused on innovation and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the website strategy and roadmap by integrating customer insights, analytics, business goals, and feedback from stakeholders.
- Monitor website metrics, user behavior, and conversion funnels to uncover growth opportunities.
- Create and maintain customer personas, buyer profiles, and digital journeys alongside marketing, sales, analytics, and customer success teams.
- Utilize customer data to enhance website messaging, navigation, user experience, personalization, forms, trust elements, and conversion tactics.
- Oversee website experimentation, including A/B testing, personalization, hypothesis creation, performance tracking, and continuous refinement.
- Collaborate with demand generation, marketing automation, and partnerships to deliver cohesive digital experiences supporting acquisition, engagement, and retention goals.
- Ensure technical website health, encompassing SEO, Core Web Vitals, accessibility standards, international optimization, structured data, and overall performance.
- Lead, mentor, and manage website team members; prioritize initiatives based on impact; and work with technical teams on execution.
- Assess and adopt AI-driven technologies to advance customer research, experimentation, website deployment, and process efficiency.
- Report website strategies, priorities, progress, and outcomes to executives and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years of professional experience in website strategy, digital experience, UX, conversion optimization, product management, digital marketing or related domains.
- Demonstrated ability to improve website conversion rates through user research, data analytics, experimentation, and enhancing user experience.
- Proven experience managing digital roadmaps, website strategies, and large web projects.
- Background in overseeing multilingual, international, or global websites.
- Deep understanding of customer journey mapping, conversion funnels, buyer behavior, and digital experience concepts.
- Highly developed analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as GA4, PostHog, Salesforce reporting, or equivalents.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, AI-powered search optimization, accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG), privacy and consent laws, and core web performance indicators.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with influence at executive levels.
- Experience directing and growing high-performing teams in digital, marketing technology, product, or engineering settings.
- Desirable experience managing teams responsible for website engineering, digital products, or external agency partnerships.
- Preference for familiarity with modern web technologies like Astro or headless CMS platforms.
- Advantageous experience utilizing AI tools for improving research, prototyping, experimentation, or delivery workflows.
