Position Overview
Our client, a reputed Corporate Finance team, is recruiting a Director of Mergers and Acquisitions to lead and oversee M&A transactions from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of M&A deals, ensuring full lifecycle oversight.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs and collaborate to devise optimal strategies.
- Work closely with team members to guarantee high-quality execution at all times.
- Identify potential risks early and escalate them appropriately.
- Drive business development by spotting and analyzing new opportunities for origination.
- Maintain transparent and effective communication to keep all stakeholders informed about deal status and any associated risks.
- Strengthen and expand external relationships to support business growth and deal sourcing.
- Mentor and nurture junior team members to foster professional growth.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end M&A transactions particularly within the Irish and/or UK markets.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with key stakeholders effectively.
- High commercial awareness and sound business judgement.
- Advanced financial and commercial analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to detect sensitive matters.
- Capability to identify critical issues during engagements and propose practical solutions.
- Experience delivering clear, client-facing reports and presentations summarizing findings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
