About Bullish

Bullish operates as a global digital asset platform designed for institutional clients, offering market infrastructure and comprehensive information services. Key offerings include Bullish Exchange—a regulated spot and derivatives exchange focused on digital assets with an advanced matching engine and market making for liquidity, regulated in Germany, Hong Kong, and Gibraltar. Additional services include CoinDesk Indices, offering financial benchmarks; CoinDesk Data, delivering real-time digital asset analytics; and CoinDesk Insights, a media and events platform covering blockchain and digital asset trends.

Role Overview

Bullish is seeking a senior commercial leader to serve as Director of European Sales. This role involves spearheading revenue growth and expanding the institutional client portfolio across Europe. Reporting to the Head of European Sales, the individual will cultivate strategic relationships with banks, asset managers, hedge funds, fintechs, prime brokers, and family offices across major European financial hubs. Candidates based anywhere in Europe are welcome to apply, with employment through the Frankfurt entity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and foster relationships with new institutional clients spanning banks, asset managers, hedge funds, fintechs, prime brokers, and family offices across key European financial centers.
  • Maintain and deepen engagements with a portfolio of senior institutional clients, acting as a reliable contact at Director level and above to promote Bullish’s Exchange and products.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and educating clients to commercial negotiations, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Communicate Bullish's value proposition including exchange technology, liquidity aspects, product features, and regulatory compliance under MiCA.
  • Coordinate with the Head of European Sales and global sales team to meet regional revenue objectives and provide market insights contributing to strategy development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, technology, legal, and compliance to align client needs with Bullish’s offerings and maintain competitiveness.
  • Represent Bullish at industry conferences, forums, and client meetings, raising the firm's visibility within institutional finance and the digital asset ecosystem.
  • Monitor European regulatory changes including MiCA and BaFin legislation, ensuring Bullish’s sales processes remain compliant and appropriately tailored to regulated clients.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10 to 14 years in institutional sales or business development within European financial services, with senior client-facing experience at banks, exchanges, asset managers, or fintechs.
  • A robust network of senior contacts (Director, Managing Director, C-suite) across European financial institutions and digital asset firms, with proven ability to leverage these relationships for business growth.
  • A strong history of achieving or surpassing revenue targets and managing complex institutional sales transactions.
  • A results-driven, accountable, and hands-on professional with a collaborative mindset who takes ownership of their priorities and outcomes.
  • Experience using institutional sales tools such as CRM systems and pipeline management, with openness to adopting AI and automation technologies to improve sales delivery and efficiency.

Additional Desirable Skills

  • Previous exposure to regulated European exchanges or digital asset trading platforms.
  • Established connections within crypto-native institutions, digital asset funds, or family offices active in digital assets.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages such as German, French, Italian, or Spanish, with other relevant languages also valued.
  • Knowledge of MiCA’s CASP licensing framework and its impact on institutional digital asset participation in Europe.

Equal Opportunity

Bullish champions diversity and inclusion as an equal opportunity employer, emphasizing integrity and a global community driven by varied perspectives.
