Role overview
The Esports Foundation is creating the next generation of esports experiences, with digital products at the center of that ambition. In this Director-level role, you will lead fan-facing platforms and experiences across websites, mobile apps, and engagement-driven gamification journeys such as fantasy, pick’em, quests, factions, and loyalty. The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, reports to the VP Media & Fan Marketing, and has 2 direct reports.
What you will own
- Define and steer the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for all EWC and ENC digital offerings across web, mobile, gamification, and new fan experiences.
- Lead the use of AI throughout the product portfolio, turning high-value use cases into live, measurable production features.
- Champion the engagement layer, including fantasy, pick’em, quests, factions, and loyalty, as the main engine for repeated fan interaction.
- Shape how digital products generate value commercially by owning the in-product monetization approach.
- Make key decisions on technology stack and architecture across the product portfolio, including rapid build-versus-buy judgments while engineering and IT manage delivery and operations.
- Drive major launches and coordinate go-to-market execution for products and new features at global scale.
- Write detailed product requirement documents, manage the full RFP and vendor selection process, and ensure agencies and external partners deliver against expectations.
- Use data, experimentation, and test-and-learn methods to guide choices across acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue.
- Build, manage, and coach a strong Digital Product team.
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in product management, digital media, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in digital product management, UX strategy, or platform operations within gaming, esports, or entertainment.
Skills and capabilities
- Proven ability to launch AI-enabled products in production and scale them successfully.
- Capability to own technical and architectural decisions across a multi-product environment.
- Track record of improving engagement, retention, and monetization through digital experiences.
- Strong command of gamification, personalization, and audience engagement design.
- Experience leading go-to-market planning and major product launches.
- Highly analytical approach with confidence in experimentation and data-led decision-making.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
