Role Overview

The Director, Client Education & Training is responsible for leading Finalsite’s client education and training function. This role shapes and delivers learning experiences across multiple formats, partners with internal teams such as Development, Product Marketing, Sales, and Client Success, and helps increase adoption of Finalsite’s products and services across the K–12 customer base. The position also oversees onboarding and training programs for products including Website, Communications, Enrollment, Payments, and Ask AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and maintain the training content roadmap so it stays aligned with product release cycles.
  • Create and update both self-paced and instructor-led training materials.
  • Oversee the learning management system and ensure a strong client training experience.
  • Manage and develop instructional designers and content creators.
  • Build and maintain certification programs, including product-specific exams.
  • Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person instructor-led training sessions.
  • Lead client education specialists and track utilization, training CSAT, client readiness, course completion, and other important performance measures.
  • Organize major training events such as regional Finalsite University conferences.
  • Develop deep product knowledge within the team, including K–12 workflows and client use cases.
  • Recognize education and training as a critical part of the client journey and the first experience many new clients have with Finalsite.
  • Work with Client Success leadership to assess how training contributes to adoption and customer value.
  • Collaborate with Support leadership to make sure support teams use training content and resources effectively.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience leading education or training teams, including teams of up to 12 people.
  • Demonstrated success in building, guiding, and delivering client education programs tied to business goals and performance metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with websites built on content management systems such as WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, or Joomla.
  • Experience working with learning management systems such as Thought Industries, Skilljar, or Docebo.
  • Familiarity with Pendo or a similar product experience platform used to capture and analyze user behavior across products.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Must live in the United States and maintain U.S. residency to be eligible for this fully remote role.
