About the Role
Bitsduck, a Canada-based FinTech company specializing in digital assets and payment solutions, is seeking to appoint a Director / Responsible Person. This senior leadership position focuses on governance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement for the company's Canadian Money Services Business (MSB) operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Director / Responsible Officer overseeing the company’s MSB undertakings in Canada.
- Facilitate the registration, upkeep, and adherence to compliance requirements of the Canadian MSB under FINTRAC regulations.
- Act as the primary local contact for regulators, financial institutions, payment partners, and professional advisors as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the company's global management, compliance, and legal teams to ensure adherence to Canadian regulatory obligations.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and professional communications in response to inquiries from regulatory bodies, banking institutions, and partners.
- Keep abreast of and monitor regulatory changes affecting MSBs, virtual currency dealers, and payment transactions within Canada.
- Deliver high-level oversight to maintain alignment of Canadian operations with the company’s broader global compliance framework.
Candidate Profile
- Must reside in Canada and be capable of assuming a director-level or senior responsible role.
- Preferable background in financial services, payments, compliance, fintech, or the digital asset sector.
- Experienced and comfortable engaging with regulators, banks, auditors, and external parties.
- Exhibits strong integrity, reliability, and keen attention to regulatory details.
- Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with international teams.
- Previous experience in director or senior administrative roles is advantageous.
