About the Role

The National Disability Insurance Agency's Technology Services Division is undertaking critical projects to create advanced ICT solutions aimed at enhancing the National Disability Insurance Scheme. This position is a 12-month contract, with a possible 12-month extension, based in Australia across QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW, and SA. The role offers a hybrid work model with three days in the office and two days remote, requiring a maximum of 37.5 hours weekly. Candidates should be able to secure Baseline security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain real-time dashboards to track application performance and user metrics.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems during development cycles.
  • Develop and sustain applications and automation scripts to streamline development tasks.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs supporting multiple application features and integrate with ALM tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Develop strategies to optimize digital platform performance and contribute to CI/CD pipeline design, testing, and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.
  • Support DevOps activities related to continuous integration, delivery, deployment, and system automation to ensure reliable system operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years in a development role involving full-stack applications using Node.js and frameworks like React, Vue, or Next.js.
  • Proven experience with Atlassian Jira, Visual Studio Code, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Capability to implement APIs that integrate with application lifecycle management tools including GitLab, Jira, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience creating and managing real-time monitoring dashboards.
  • Strong communication skills for effective team and stakeholder collaboration.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in building, maintaining, and monitoring GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Interest and experience in accessible design and development approaches.
  • Knowledge of intelligent CI/CD automation, including using AI-driven agents for automated tasks such as remediation, documentation, or testing.

Additional Information

  • Workplaces are located in Queensland, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia.
  • The role requires the ability to obtain Baseline security clearance.
  • The working arrangement is hybrid with three office days and two days working from home per week.
  • The contract duration is 12 months with the possibility of extension for another 12 months.
