Role Overview
The Developer Relations AI role focuses on connecting with the developer community to promote adoption and understanding of Tether's technology, especially around QVAC—a privacy-focused AI development platform running locally on devices. Responsibilities include crafting technical content, engaging with developers at events and online, collecting feedback, and acting as the developers' advocate within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain relationships with developers, partners, and open-source groups; facilitate community engagement through AMAs, webinars, and office hours.
- Collect developer feedback and identify influential individuals and projects to foster collaboration.
- Create technical resources such as blog posts, tutorials, sample applications, videos, and documentation targeted at developers.
- Build demos and prototypes to demonstrate practical applications and improve onboarding experiences through workshops and hackathons.
- Represent Tether at industry events and online forums, translating complex tech concepts into accessible messaging aligned with marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure developer needs shape product development and launch plans.
- Provide technical support and mentor internal teams on effective developer communication and community involvement.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of three years of professional software development experience.
- Proven background in developer advocacy, developer relations, or technical community management.
- Solid programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, capable of writing and explaining production-ready code.
- Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining applications or APIs.
- Ability to create engaging educational content including tutorials and documentation, and present at developer events.
- Proficiency in engaging developer communities on platforms like GitHub and social media.
- Understanding of developer experience best practices and effective collaboration across product and marketing teams.
- Familiarity with Llama.cpp and ggml inference engines for optimized model deployment on GPUs.
- Experience working with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, chatbots, or AI-based SDKs and APIs.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written, for public-facing content and interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and promoting SDKs or developer tools.
- Development or integration experience with web, mobile, or desktop applications.
- Four to six years of experience in software development or developer relations roles.
- Use of AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Codex to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Contributions to open-source projects or maintenance of public GitHub repositories.
- Knowledge of DevRel success metrics, including content outreach, community engagement levels, and product adoption.
- Background in technical writing, education, or public speaking.
- A passion for community building and mentoring developers through collaboration and content.
