Desktop Support Engineer

Role Overview

JK Technology is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on and remote assistance for end users, maintain workplace IT equipment, and help ensure smooth day-to-day technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep IT peripherals in working order, including backup and recovery tasks.
• Handle setup, installation, reinstallation, and migration of IT devices and peripherals.
• Move IT equipment between locations within the workplace as needed.
• Deliver onsite support at client premises, as well as remote assistance through phone and email, with standby support when required or activated.
• Respond to and resolve client and end-user IT-related service requests.
• Diagnose and fix hardware and software problems.
• Manage user profiles and related administration tasks.
• Coordinate with external maintenance vendors such as HP and Microsoft, log service cases, and track them through resolution.
• Install and configure software based on customer standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of ITE or Diploma qualification in IT, or an equivalent background.
• At least one year of experience working in the IT field.
• Experience supporting end users will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of basic networking support and operating systems.
• Strong customer service ability, good communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive attitude.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-moving environment.

Working Arrangement and Terms

This is a five-day work week role with CPF and leave entitlement. The position is offered as a renewable contract with benefits such as annual leave, medical leave, and medical claims, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role.
