Job description
Role Overview
Emirates maintains a dedicated medical team delivering exceptional clinical and medical safety services for staff and their families. Our onsite medical clinics provide comprehensive patient care including dental, family medicine, and psychology.
As a Dentist with Emirates, you will provide eligible employees and their dependents with top-quality dental health services that are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with international regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based, high-standard dental care independently.
- Exemplify expert proficiency across all clinical dentistry areas.
- Implement health education to promote preventive dental strategies for patients.
- Maintain rigorous clinical care and practice standards.
- Manage and treat complex advanced restorative dental cases.
- Recognize and refer patients requiring specialist external care.
- Continuously enhance professional skills via education and literature review.
- Complete mandated annual postgraduate courses and meet CPD requirements as per licensing authorities in Dubai and abroad.
- Supervise Dental Hygienists and Dental Nurses in clinical operations under the VP-Dental's guidance.
- Authorize treatments performed by dental team members and regularly audit their work quality.
- Contribute to performance evaluations for staff outside direct supervision.
- Encourage and improve team performance through constructive feedback.
- Provide thorough instructions and enforce quality controls for external specialists.
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of aviation dentistry regulations and minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with essential regulations on ionizing radiation, infection control, hazardous materials, and clinic health and safety.
- Collaborate with medical professionals and specialists to optimize care, especially for patients with medical complications, abiding by relevant protocols.
- Support research and recommend new dental equipment, materials, and medications as directed by VP-Dental.
Qualifications
- A dental degree such as BDS, DMD, or BChD from recognized universities in Europe, Australasia, North America, or equivalent institutions.
- Registration and licensure recognized by the Dubai Department of Health.
- Minimum of 10 years of postgraduate general dental practice experience.
Preferred Attributes
- International work experience is considered advantageous.
- Dental registration recognized in Europe, North America, Australasia, or analogous regions.
