Position Overview

We are seeking a Deal Operations Manager responsible for designing and overseeing the operational workflows that govern the structuring, reviewing, approval, execution, and handoff of deals within the quote-to-cash lifecycle. This role will collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, Deal Strategy, Customer Success, Product, and other teams to accelerate deal approvals and reduce errors downstream.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop global deal operations workflows including intake, routing, approvals, service-level agreements, escalations, and exception management.
  • Manage approval readiness in DealHub CPQ, ensuring completeness of required fields, quote quality, discount justification, and smooth downstream processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation, templates, and decision guidelines to streamline deal approvals for Sales teams.
  • Support Sales and leadership in constructing and strategizing deals, including new business, renewals, expansions, and complex commercial requests.
  • Translate strategic deal considerations into approval-ready formats encompassing value exchanges, risk assessments, concessions, billing terms, contract timing, and implementation assumptions.
  • Coordinate with Deal Strategy, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to address impacts on retention, growth, adoption, and reporting.
  • Engage early with Legal on non-standard contract terms, language, execution paths, and risk ownership.
  • Collaborate with Finance on revenue recognition, billing, payment terms, start dates, product lines, and regulatory approvals.
  • Establish pre-signature review processes to mitigate risks in revenue recognition, billing, contract terms, and product availability.
  • Contribute to pricing, packaging, and new product introduction (NPI) strategies, translating these into actionable processes, DealHub CPQ logic, and approval workflows.
  • Monitor quote exceptions, approval challenges, billing issues, and handoff complications linked to pricing, packaging, or NPI changes.
  • Oversee the quote-to-cash handoff ensuring accuracy in orders, billing, commissions, reporting, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Lead ongoing operational cadence featuring KPIs, defect tracking, root cause reviews, accountable action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI integration to enhance intake, routing, approval summaries, quote validation, documentation, and reduce cycle times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Deal Desk, Deal Operations, Revenue or Sales Operations with preference for B2B SaaS environments.
  • Proficient with CPQ tools such as DealHub or equivalents and familiar with quote-to-cash and lead-to-cash processes.
  • Experienced in structuring and reviewing complex deal types including multi-year, ramped, expansions and multi-product contracts.
  • Understanding of revenue recognition, billing, order processing, and coordination with Legal and Finance stakeholders.
  • Skilled in developing scalable processes, documentation, SLAs, and leading operational rhythms including KPI reporting and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and comfortable with Salesforce and business reporting platforms.
  • AI literate with the ability to leverage artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity and decision making.
