Role Overview

The DCS Operator works full-time on-site in Tbilisi, responsible for overseeing and managing plant operations through the Distributed Control System. The position ensures equipment and production units run safely, efficiently, and reliably. Major duties encompass adjusting control parameters, reacting promptly to alarms, coordinating operational workflows with field personnel, and assisting in start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures. Additionally, maintaining precise logs, complying with safety and environmental mandates, and collaborating with supervisors and technical teams to enhance plant functioning and product quality are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Proficient in process control techniques, particularly in distillation and comprehensive plant process supervision.
  • Experienced in operating Distributed Control Systems and managing industrial control rooms.
  • Knowledge of refinery or analogous continuous-process industrial settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate with field teams ensuring adherence to safe work protocols.
  • Technical background preferably in chemical or process engineering or related industrial disciplines at vocational or degree level.
  • Awareness of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and emergency response in chemical or fertilizer manufacturing contexts.
  • Capable of working shifts with sustained concentration and effective communication across multidisciplinary groups.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of monitoring and reporting software tools.
