Data Strategy Analyst

Overview

This opportunity, managed by a partnering company, seeks a Data Strategy Analyst based in the United Kingdom to support comprehensive enterprise data transformation initiatives. Serving as a bridge between business and technology, the role focuses on enhancing data governance, improving data quality, and advancing strategic decision-making capabilities within the organization. This fully remote contract role offers collaboration with diverse stakeholders in an international setting, emphasizing impactful data management improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the success of an enterprise-wide Data Transformation Programme by supporting data strategy, governance, and quality improvement efforts.
• Manage and coordinate the enterprise data backlog to ensure alignment with business priorities and program objectives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, including domain ownership structures and clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
• Support customer data strategy projects by conducting analyses, providing recommendations, and preparing governance documentation.
• Coordinate activities aimed at improving data quality and help establish a sustainable Data Quality Framework.
• Define and verify reporting, analytics, and operating model processes to facilitate ongoing delivery and informed decision-making.
• Create reports, presentations, and documentation to support governance forums and strategic discussions linked to the program.
• Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to ensure data initiatives correspond with organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 7 years of professional experience in Data Strategy, Data Governance, Enterprise Data Management, or related disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise data governance principles, frameworks, and domain ownership models.
• Experience in driving data quality initiatives and applying governance procedures.
• Proven track record managing project backlogs, prioritizing tasks, and advancing strategic data projects.
• Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders in cross-functional environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and expertise in producing detailed documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Fluency in English at an advanced level.
• Experience supporting enterprise Data Transformation Programmes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with customer data strategy efforts, reporting and analytics models, and RACI frameworks is a plus.
• Highly organized, proactive, detail-focused, and adept at juggling multiple priorities concurrently.
