Data Science Manager

Role Overview

This is a remote hourly contract opportunity focusing on managing and evaluating data science work with a strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency in grading. The commitment ranges from 10 to 40 hours per week with a compensation rate between $120 and $170 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise, task-specific grading criteria tailored for practical data science projects and outputs.
• Evaluate AI-generated as well as human-produced samples with thorough written explanations supporting the scores.
• Maintain consistency and evidence-based judgment to ensure scoring is reproducible and defensible.
• Integrate structured feedback from senior reviewers efficiently and revise work as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated substantial experience within the data science field.
• Professional background in business operations, product, or growth data science roles at leading technology companies.
• Expertise in experiment design, A/B testing, metric creation, SQL and Python data analysis, and effectively communicating results.
• Excellent written communication skills with a detail-oriented and consistent approach.
• Ability to thrive in an environment involving peer-reviewed evaluations.
