Data Center Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in issue resolution by escalating problems, seeking guidance, and learning from senior technicians.
• Engage in daily safety briefings, complete relevant safety training, and strictly follow all mandated safety protocols including proper equipment handling and electrical safety.
• Efficiently resolve assigned service tickets while adhering to established KPIs and SLAs, with support from the team.
• Abide by security standards and data handling policies, completing required security trainings.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach by understanding the impact of tasks on clients and services.
• Promote a collaborative environment through active communication, participation in team meetings, and awareness of other team members’ work statuses.
• Take ownership and pride in maintaining service quality and facility integrity within the data center.
• Exemplify and uphold Microsoft’s core values and workplace culture.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education (High School, GED), vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience with basic knowledge of computer hardware components.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of at least one year supporting IT or related hardware technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, or Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).

Security Requirements

This position requires successful completion of the Microsoft Cloud background check at hire and every two years thereafter, in compliance with Microsoft and regulatory security standards.
