Job description
Overview
This is a fully remote Data Analyst position based in the United States at Breezy, a software company innovating residential real estate agent tools. The role is designed for the first analyst to shape and expand the analytics function within a fast-growing environment. Breezy offers a competitive salary between $130,000 and $150,000, along with equity grants following a four-year vesting schedule with a one-year cliff. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles and unites its team occasionally in person.
About Breezy
Breezy supports residential real estate professionals by providing a mobile app that replaces traditional manual tracking with automated, data-driven insights. Its proprietary platform, Underbuilt, delivers instant pricing and build-potential reports by analyzing zoning and municipal data, saving customers time and expense compared to conventional surveying methods. Founded in early 2024 by experienced real estate and tech entrepreneurs, Breezy launched publicly in February 2026 backed by prominent investors. The company plans to expand its platform across multiple countries following U.S. broker-wide rollouts.
Role Responsibilities
- Clarify and model user funnels from installation to subscription payment to define activation and retention metrics.
- Audit and standardize event tracking across multiple analytics platforms and legacy systems, refining event definitions and data properties.
- Select, implement, and maintain a business intelligence tool to connect with Postgres and ClickHouse databases and create user-facing dashboards.
- Analyze product performance issues and behaviors by querying the underlying application databases directly to identify bottlenecks and user patterns.
- Design experimental frameworks and interpret lifecycle campaigns using feature flags and customer messaging tools, providing clear recommendations on results validity.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure accurate feature instrumentation and deliver actionable analysis with concrete strategic advice rather than raw data links.
Technical Environment
- Primary product analytics via Mixpanel and PostHog
- Lifecycle messaging managed through Customer.io
- Relational and analytical data handled using Postgres and ClickHouse
- Additional tools include AppsFlyer, Meta App Events, RevenueCat, Stripe, Datadog, and Sentry
- Freely choose BI software based on best fit (examples: Metabase, Looker, Omni, Hex)
- Real estate data sets including MLS listings, assessor records, and zoning information
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate excels in five key areas: advanced SQL proficiency capable of working with complex schemas; strong experience with product analytics platforms like Mixpanel or PostHog; expert understanding of experimental design and statistical testing; prior success in setting up BI platforms or managing event taxonomies; and a rigorous approach to data validation ensuring trustworthy results.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Experience with mobile analytics including React Native or native app instrumentation
- Familiarity with columnar warehouses such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery
- Knowledge of lifecycle automation platforms such as Customer.io or Braze
- Interest or experience in analytics engineering using tools like dbt
- Background in real estate, MLS data, or property technology
- Competency in Python for advanced analyses beyond SQL
- Experience consolidating multiple analytics tools or building semantic documentation
Work Culture
Breezy embraces AI-driven development methodologies emphasizing clear specifications, delegated tasks, and independent verification of results. The analyst role requires careful validation of metrics and explanations, ensuring analytics outputs are accurate before dissemination. The company values skepticism and rigor in analytics practice.
Benefits and Policies
Employees receive health and dental insurance, equity participation, paid time off, and necessary equipment. Breezy supports equal opportunity employment without discrimination based on protected characteristics. Interview accommodations are available upon request.
