Data Analyst

Overview

NASTECH CONSULTING is seeking a contract Data Analyst to work remotely from the United States. This position is aimed at strengthening AI systems by supplying high-quality, real-world data work that helps models learn, reason, and improve. Prior AI experience is not necessary; practical domain expertise in data analysis is the key requirement.

What you'll do

• Use Microsoft Excel to examine datasets and generate insights that support business decisions.
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify data needs and turn them into useful analysis.
• Clean, review, and validate data to maintain accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Create concise reports and visual presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Spot patterns, irregularities, and opportunities in complex data to support strategic work.
• Record methods, findings, and recommendations with strong attention to detail.
• Help strengthen data-led decision-making within the client team.

Required background

• Hands-on data analysis experience in a business setting, with Microsoft Excel as the main working tool.
• High accuracy and carefulness in data handling, reporting, and validation.
• Strong communication skills for explaining analytical results clearly in writing and speaking.
• Comfort working collaboratively across functions to support business outcomes.
• Good command of Excel formulas, functions, and visualization features.
• Ability to detect inconsistent data and apply corrective actions.
• Experience in fast-moving, data-oriented environments.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to cross-functional data support for business strategy.
• Experience presenting analytical findings to varied audiences.
• Familiarity with other analytics or business intelligence tools.

Additional information

This is a contractor role based remotely. The position is focused on contributing high-quality analysis to support AI training and customer decision-making. No prior AI-specific background is required.
