Data & AI Project Manager (Technology Expert Labs)

Role Summary

Join as a Project Manager within Technology Expert Labs, championing the leadership of technical teams to develop and execute projects that align with and surpass client business goals. This position entails close collaboration with client stakeholders and internal IBM teams to adhere to integrated solution strategies, manage budgets, schedules, staffing plans, while consistently delivering beyond expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement comprehensive project management efforts encompassing financials, scope, changes, deliverables, and communication control mechanisms.
• Maintain robust cross-team communication channels with clients, partners, and account teams to relay project updates transparently.
• Oversee the management and reporting of project metrics such as overall health, financial performance including costs and revenues, team efficiency, and client satisfaction scores.
• Establish credibility and influence by addressing challenges, formulating risk mitigation approaches, and providing informed project guidance as a dependable advisor.
• Foster a high-performing team environment emphasizing collaboration and problem-solving under tight delivery schedules and expectations.
• Exhibit empathy and client service orientation that drives client success and positive experience.

Preferred Education

Master's Degree is preferred.

Essential Technical and Professional Competencies

• Proven expertise in Agile project delivery methodologies, employing frameworks that emphasize nimble, efficient project execution.
• Demonstrated ability in communications and cultivating relationships across organizational levels ranging from engineers to CIOs, including conflict resolution skills.
• Practical experience establishing credibility in Data and AI domains, specifically in methodologies related to data management, data fabric, governance, trustworthy AI, and business analytics or comparable enterprise areas.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Project or program management certifications such as PMP, CMMI, Scrum Master, or Agile Project Management.
• Versatile technology expertise spanning Data and AI, Automation, Sustainability, Security, Cloud platforms, Power Systems, Storage, and zSoftware or equivalent technologies.
• Consulting background in cloud-based solutions including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, or other cloud configurations.
• Advanced technical knowledge of key data and IT technologies including IBM Cloud Pak for Data, Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Db2, COGNOS, IBM Watson Studio, related AI infrastructures, or similar enterprise solutions.
