Data & AI Project Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data & AI Project Lead based in Doha, Qatar. This position requires over 12 years of experience to take full ownership of project delivery from planning to closure, ensuring governance and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of project delivery including planning, execution, governance, and closure activities.
• Coordinate and engage with multiple stakeholders across business units, IT teams, and external partners effectively.
• Implement and maintain Agile project governance practices such as sprint planning, backlog management, and progress tracking using JIRA.
• Organize and lead Project Review Working Groups to provide updates, manage risks, and support decision-making processes.
• Manage vendor relationships ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Monitor project dependencies, risks, and issues, and handle escalations across various workstreams.
• Ensure successful delivery of initiatives related to Data, Analytics, Governance, and Artificial Intelligence aligned with business goals.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 12 years of experience managing large-scale Data and AI projects, ideally in banking or financial services sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and AI-based solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and deliver projects under strict deadlines.
• Practical expertise in Agile project management, including use of JIRA and collaboration software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and vendor management capabilities.
• Experience in GCC and/or Qatar banking sectors is strongly preferred.

Evaluation Criteria

• Relevance and depth of experience in Data, Analytics, and AI projects.
• Proven leadership in managing large and complex transformation programs.
• Knowledge of banking or financial services within Qatar or GCC markets.
• Hands-on proficiency with Agile methodologies and JIRA for project delivery.
• Effectiveness in managing multiple stakeholders and vendors simultaneously.
• Readiness to meet immediate project requirements and timelines.
