Overview
The Cyber Security Certification Lead takes ownership of the comprehensive delivery of cybersecurity certification and assurance initiatives. This position supervises certification reviews, leads critical sector audits, and spearheads the creation and refinement of standardized audit methods and certification frameworks. The role ensures the consistent effectiveness and continual enhancement of certification programs while translating strategic directives into actionable projects. It also involves managing stakeholder relationships, guiding the certification team, and delivering national cybersecurity certification projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct the complete lifecycle of certification services and related programs.
- Supervise assessment reviews for all certification initiatives.
- Act as Certification Lead for audits in key sectors.
- Develop, maintain, and improve standardized audit methodologies and certification criteria.
- Regularly evaluate and advance the efficiency and outcomes of certification efforts.
- Implement strategic targets from department leadership into executable plans.
- Create and manage cybersecurity certification standards and assurance mechanisms.
- Oversee project planning, prioritization, and delivery within the certification portfolio.
- Address operational challenges in assurance services with effective solutions.
- Liaise with senior management to ensure departmental needs and resource allocation.
- Organize and support certification-related events such as workshops, trainings, and conferences.
- Engage with stakeholders by offering expert advice and feedback on operational challenges.
- Coordinate cross-department activities related to assurance.
- Manage collaboration with internal and external parties on assurance projects.
- Lead, coach, and enhance the certification team to improve service delivery and professional capabilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent with at least 15 years’ relevant experience.
- Minimum 6 years in roles involving cybersecurity assessment, IT auditing, or certification.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Preferred certifications: CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, COBIT, CRISC, CGEIT or similar governance and risk qualifications.
- Strong familiarity with cybersecurity standards including ISO 27001, NIA, COBIT, Common Criteria.
- Knowledge of accreditation and certification frameworks such as ISO 17021, 17024, 17065, 17025, 27006.
- Experience creating standards, technical guidelines, standard operating procedures, and audit documents.
- Capability in risk management and compliance evaluation.
- Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on schedule, scope, and budget.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and shaping national cybersecurity standards.
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills including briefings to senior executives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder interests within complex environments.
- Leadership and team supervision skills with the ability to work under pressure and balance priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently drive initiatives.
Additional Information
Language proficiency in English is required.
The contract length is 12 months with a possibility for extension based on organizational needs.
Immediate availability is preferred.
