Customer Support Driver

About the Role

As a member of the Vp Rail team, you will provide excellent customer service by delivering and collecting equipment to and from customers, suppliers, and other company locations in a professional, safe, and timely manner. Your role is essential in supporting the branch operations and fostering strong customer relationships through clear technical handovers and addressing basic equipment questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely, adhering strictly to UK road regulations and prioritizing road safety for all.
• Engage with customers during equipment deliveries and pickups to resolve queries and ensure a positive, professional interaction.
• Thoroughly clean and test equipment upon return to maintain quality standards.
• Utilize digital systems such as the M42 platform to enhance operational efficiency and keep accurate records of deliveries.
• Employ route planning technology to optimize delivery schedules, minimize travel durations, and improve overall efficiency.
• Complete all paperwork and processes diligently related to deliveries, collections, and technical handovers.
• Participate in all mandatory and other required training sessions needed for your role.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience with multi-drop delivery routes is essential.
• Hold a valid Category B driving license with a consistent focus on safe and responsible driving.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and provide clear information during technical handovers.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and building positive relationships through informative guidance on equipment usage.
• Basic proficiency in numeracy, IT, and literacy to handle administrative tasks successfully.
• Good knowledge of the local area to efficiently plan routes and assist customers.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying duties and contribute actively to team and company success.
