Customer Engineer, AI Natives, Junior Talent Programme (Arabic, English)

About the Role

As a Customer Engineer (CE) within Google's AI Natives Junior Talent Programme, you will play a vital part in accelerating digital transformation for organizations by supporting pre-sales and technical validation. Collaborating closely with senior engineers and sales teams, you will craft and demonstrate real-time prototypes and interactive demos that showcase the potential of Google Cloud's offerings, with a focus on AI technologies. This role requires technical problem-solving abilities, active customer engagement, and the aptitude to help transition solutions smoothly to post-sales deployment teams.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative solutions tailored to complex customer requirements using Google Cloud products and provide customer insights to product and engineering teams.
• Work with customers and internal teams to ensure successful adoption and integration of cloud solutions, offering architectural recommendations and consulting support.
• Guide clients through their innovation journeys by creating strategic plans and facilitating key achievement milestones.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges, resolve product-related questions, and collaborate internally to find effective solutions.
• Continuously learn and implement the latest advances in AI, machine learning, and cloud platform technologies, gathering field feedback to improve developer tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting using at least one modern language such as Python, Go, Java, or C++ with understanding of fundamental data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL), web technologies especially APIs and HTTP, or cloud infrastructure gained through academic, internship, personal or professional experience.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic to effectively engage with regional clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Participation in hackathons, contributions to open-source projects, or developing personal applications/tools.
• Experience working with Large Language Model APIs, prompt engineering, vector databases, or developing basic Retrieval-Augmented Generation applications or simple conversational agents.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience thriving in collaborative settings such as team projects, customer-facing roles, or technical residencies, with adaptability to evolving customer needs and technologies.
• Strong debugging capabilities and familiarity with developer environments including Docker and basic Linux command line operations.
