Role Overview

This role engages you in maintaining and advancing this AI-powered learning system, helping students achieve mastery at accelerated paces through data-driven interventions and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate detailed Academic Data Reports with accurate analysis to spot issues and outliers, enabling corrective actions within 48 hours.
• Conduct timely intervention calls and offer customized coaching after assessments, distinguishing between conceptual misunderstandings and simple errors to keep learners motivated.
• Evaluate and incorporate new educational tools and pilot AI/LLM innovations to enhance teaching strategies.
• Partner with leadership to refine AI tutoring platforms, optimizing reporting tools and progress benchmarks.

Role Exclusions

• No participation in lengthy meetings or creation of generic presentations lacking measurable impact.
• No involvement in traditional grading, lesson planning, or conventional educational administration—focus is on AI and innovation.
• No exclusive strategic work; role demands active hands-on involvement and flexibility.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in data science or related roles within education, EdTech, or learner support blending analysis and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets for tasks such as lookups, pivot tables, and data filtering.
• Strong emotional intelligence with effective communication and a friendly coaching style suited to children.
• Experience developing AI-driven workflows and automations.
• At least one year of direct experience working with K-8 students.
• Availability during core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time.

Preferred Attributes

• Background in learning science, pedagogy, or demonstrated success implementing evidence-based educational improvements.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, prompt engineering, and programming skills (Python, JavaScript) for integrating AI APIs.

Work Conditions & Compensation

This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours weekly as an independent contractor with Crossover. The hourly rate is $30 USD, translating to an approximate annual salary of $60,000 USD based on 50 working weeks per year. Weekly payments are issued. Immediate start is possible.
