Role Overview
The Community Manager for e.l.f. SKIN will actively engage a growing community through social media by responding to inquiries, educating on skincare products, and supporting customers' skin journeys. This role manages inbound social communications, initiates engagement campaigns, monitors community feedback, and contributes to the broader community strategy by elevating brand presence among beauty enthusiasts. This position is open to candidates in New York City or Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all social media community inbound messages, addressing customer questions, consumer and creator content, and monitoring industry trends.
- Engage in proactive outreach to increase brand visibility and foster customer loyalty.
- Escalate relevant inbound queries to appropriate channel leads.
- Create and update response templates based on message volume and trend analysis.
- Interact regularly with followers by liking, commenting, and replying to messages on social platforms.
- Maintain a flexible and rapid response approach to address customers online promptly.
- Collaborate with customer service regarding product orders and promotions.
- Continuously research new content trends and opportunities for social channels.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on community insights and performance metrics for cross-functional teams.
- Monitor and summarize trending discussions, comments, and complaints on both company and competitor social channels.
- Perform routine tasks with adaptability and responsiveness to changing conditions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in consumer communication on social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok; familiarity with YouTube, Pinterest, and Twitch is a plus.
- Strong passion for social media marketing with excellent writing skills including copywriting, editing, and proofreading.
- Deep understanding of major and emerging social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Instagram.
- Prior success in growing and managing digital communities considered a significant advantage.
- Exceptional multitasking and time management capabilities.
- Culturally aware, inquisitive, and proactive in assessing and improving social strategies based on competitor activity.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in real-time situations.
- A strong enthusiasm for beauty and skincare products.
- Experience with industry-standard social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout, Dash Hudson, and CreatorIQ.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay for this role varies based on location, expertise, and skills, complemented by an annual company performance bonus with eligibility up to 200% of the target, equity participation, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, gender-neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. Compensation details are subject to company discretion.
