This opportunity allows you to grow professionally, develop future-ready skills, and take charge of your career with continuous support. Join a firm where your efforts create meaningful impact.

The Contingent Labour Office (CLO) partners with business units to facilitate a fast, customer-focused approach to hiring external personnel, balancing business needs with risk reduction. This is achieved by leveraging expert practitioners with up-to-date market knowledge, acting as trusted advisors who challenge norms and help find innovative solutions, and delivering seamless service with proactive collaboration and minimal administrative burden.

Applicants from anywhere in Canada are welcome since this role supports virtual work with occasional in-office meetings (1-2 times monthly).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all processes related to external resource engagement throughout their contract lifecycle for various divisions and geographic locations, overseeing over 1000 external engagements annually which range from single contractors to multi-million dollar organizations.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to Hiring Managers, ensuring the correct and efficient onboarding and management of external personnel.
  • Utilize technology effectively to streamline CLO processes and enhance user experience.
  • Contribute actively to process improvements including workflow, documentation, and technology enhancements.
  • Engage in case management tasks such as facilitating intake discussions with senior managers and partners, training on vendor management systems, performing due diligence including background checks and compliance verifications, maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders, and documenting case details for reporting and audits.
  • Identify and escalate complex cases appropriately and respond promptly to internal inquiries to provide support or guidance.
  • Lead or support initiatives aimed at refining internal processes and maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures, forms, and knowledge base articles.
  • Educate various teams including CLO, Procurement, offshore units, and HR on updated policies and practices regarding contingent workforce management.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years experience in case management, preferably in agency, staffing, contract labor, or contingent workforce environments.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English; proficiency in French is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including senior leadership, contractors, service providers, and internal experts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex information.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team setting managing diverse workload demands efficiently.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Commitment to delivering consistent high-quality service and documentation.
  • Proactive approach toward continuous operational improvements and efficiency.
  • Technical proficiency in multiple software tools, with experience using vendor management systems (such as Flextrack or Beeline), ServiceNow, and advanced MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Educational background includes a college or university degree in a relevant discipline.
