Overview

At KPMG Canada, our team members bring unique viewpoints to address some of the country’s key challenges. This role offers an opportunity to advance your career while gaining future-ready skills and receiving support throughout your journey. Join a firm where your contributions truly matter.

The Contingent Labour Office (CLO) focuses on partnering with the business to provide a swift and client-focused method for engaging external resources while balancing commercial requirements and mitigating risks to the firm. This is achieved through leveraging internal workforce experts, challenging conventional methods, and fostering strong relationships with hiring managers by minimizing administrative hurdles and anticipating needs.

Location is flexible anywhere in Canada with primarily virtual work; occasional office presence (1-2 days per month) may be required for company meetings.

Role Responsibilities

  • Advise and support Hiring Managers on engaging external resources essential to project success using specialized knowledge.
  • Utilize technology to enhance CLO user experience, improve processes, and efficiently allocate team resources.
  • Drive process optimization and maintain comprehensive, current documentation for stakeholders.
  • Manage cases from initial setup through contract renewal or completion across Canada, supporting a large volume and variety of external resources.
  • Promote the CLO brand by adopting a customer-first approach and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Conduct intake discussions with senior managers and partners, provide training on vendor management systems, and perform due diligence such as background and independence checks.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to update them on case progress and manage inquiries effectively.
  • Identify complex cases that require additional attention and collaborate with team members to meet business needs.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying enhancements, conducting impact analyses, and managing change.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures, forms, templates, and knowledge articles, and educate relevant teams on updates.
  • Stay informed about contingent workforce legislation, policies, and market developments to ensure compliance and best practices.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years experience in case management or related roles, ideally involving contract labour or contingent workforce.
  • Experience working with staffing agencies or managing external service providers is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; bilingualism in French preferred.
  • Capacity to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders, including senior partners and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adept at managing competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to delivering high-quality service and documentation promptly.
  • Focus on continuous process improvement with the ability to analyze impact and implement enhancements.
  • Proficiency in various technologies and comfort in leveraging tools to enhance operations.
  • Familiarity with vendor management systems such as Flextrack or Beeline and workflow tools like ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Post-secondary education from college or university in a relevant field.
