About the Role
Prodigy Group is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join their construction team in the Greater Toronto Area. This role involves overseeing and managing various commercial and institutional construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets with a reasonable level of independence.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the project team with scheduling, planning, cost oversight, quality and safety management, and contract compliance.
- Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders for issue.
- Manage Request for Information (RFI) and change order processes.
- Compile weekly and monthly progress reports and document meeting minutes for dissemination.
- Uphold high standards of health and safety in alignment with company values.
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare documentation for project initiation and close-out phases.
- Monitor ongoing project activities to ensure compliance with scope, budget, schedule, and established procedures.
- Engage professionally with design professionals, consultants, vendors, trades, and clients as necessary.
- Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries and concerns, ensuring high-quality service and follow-up.
- Support project-related logistics such as shipping, receiving, pricing, and procurement of materials.
- Assist in project risk management efforts.
- Contribute to site quality control and assurance activities, including punch list and deficiency management.
Candidate Profile
- Post-secondary education in project management or a related discipline.
- Experience in commercial construction is advantageous.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and capable of using MS Teams, MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications to support project operations.
- Willingness to conduct site visits as directed to oversee relevant activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, adaptability, and a proactive attitude towards learning and growth.
