Overview
Join JMJ Rock Forming Inc. as a Construction Labourer working full-time on-site at East Garafraxa, Ontario, Canada. This position requires physical presence at the job site as remote work is not an option.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle loading, unloading, and transport of construction materials.
- Weigh materials in preparation for rigging and hoisting operations.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment readiness.
- Interpret blueprints to understand project demands and tasks.
- Maintain cranes by cleaning and lubricating them regularly.
- Set up and take down concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
- Operate pile driving cranes to place pilings for building foundation support.
- Mix, pour, and distribute materials like concrete and asphalt appropriately.
- Assist in drilling and blasting of rock on site for various construction needs.
- Grade earth to achieve precise leveling standards.
- Spread and rake asphalt surfaces effectively.
- Support demolition activities on buildings and structures.
- Organize and stack salvaged construction materials.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks on equipment and site.
- Respond to chemical spills and clean contaminants on site safely.
- Remove debris and rubble regularly to maintain a clean work environment.
- Operate or tend construction machinery and equipment as needed.
- Manage traffic control around construction zones to ensure safety.
