About the Role
We are currently seeking skilled and safety-oriented Construction Electricians to join our team on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) schedule of 2 weeks on and 1 week off. This position includes provided flights, accommodation, and meal allowances.
Key Responsibilities
- Install cable support infrastructure such as cable trays, conduits, and catenary systems in underground environments.
- Fit and connect electrical components including switchgear, junction boxes, motor control centers, transformers, variable speed drives, lighting, and communications equipment.
- Handle installation and termination of high voltage, power, communication, instrument, and control cables.
- Ensure proper earthing and bonding across all electrical installations.
- Perform quality assurance checks and basic testing like continuity and insulation resistance during installations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certification as a fully qualified electrician.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to quickly diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- A solid commitment to workplace safety standards.
- Preferred experience working in underground or mining settings.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Trade Certificate or AQF Certificate Level 3 in Electrotechnology.
- Current Electrical License.
- High-risk work license including WP class.
- Working at Heights certification completed within the last 16 months.
- Up-to-date CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certification within last 9 months.
- Current unrestricted C Class Driver’s License.
- White or Blue Construction Industry Card.
