This role is fully open to candidates based anywhere in the United States, with a preference for those near a Jacobs office. We seek to hire top talent regardless of location. The Construction Contract Change Manager will be stationed primarily in Bellevue, WA but will operate across multiple data center projects valued at billions of dollars.
Key Responsibilities
- Master the contract change process and facilitate knowledge sharing among the project management team.
- Evaluate contract provisions to identify valid scope adjustments and assess contractor change requests.
- Prepare and progress multiple change orders timely, while actively communicating with relevant stakeholders on potential changes and associated risks.
- Support cost estimation for change orders ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct Time Impact Analysis when required to understand schedule implications of changes.
- Provide prompt assessment of changes and claims with strategic negotiation recommendations.
- Collaborate with Construction Management to detect potential change risks and scope effects.
- Devise strategies to avoid or mitigate claims and changes.
- Summarize high-level change information and assist clients during contract negotiations with the contractor.
- Present change order status and analyses during executive-level meetings with senior leadership.
- Coordinate closely with the project delivery team to update and track progress.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Commercial Management and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Ability to work remotely with required site visits for project engagements.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, dynamic environments involving multiple stakeholders with a need for responsiveness and promptness.
- Proven experience managing Mega Projects is mandatory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with construction and project management platforms such as Procore, Oracle Unifier, and Power BI are essential.

Base salary ranges from $111,000 to $152,700 annually. The exact salary depends on job location, skills, experience, and educational background.
